Maximalist, Pluviophile, Mistress of the House of Books

I’ve embarked on my reread before Onyx Storm is released on the 21st and I just finished Fourth Wing. This book! This book. It’s so good and from the very first page I was swept right back into this world. I love Violet’s journey and of course u can’t get enough of Xaden. The end killed me just as much as it did the first time. ⚔️ I’m going to take a small detour to read my next book club book before I dive into Iron Flame. For Christmas, Eric and I bought ourselves new dinnerware. I’m so in love with them, especially after using plain white for the last 18 years. And I can’t think of a better way to break them in than by eating tiramisu. 🏷️ #invokingbeauty #dinnerware #kitchendetails #tiramisu

Slowly moving into my new Hobonichi Weeks for 2025. I feel like my 2024 Weeks served me really well last year, so I’m happy to be in this planner again this year. The Weeks has been a good middle ground between the EC planner I used originally when I started my planning journey and a bullet journal which gave me a lot of flexibility but took a lot of time to set up what I wanted. If I had two things that I wish for that would be great to have - I wish I had the Japanese version of the Weeks. Maybe next year I’ll order directly in order to do that. The quotes at the bottom in the English version bug me. And my big wish would be for a planner that starts at the spring equinox rather than January 1. At the winter solstice I got the urge to read The Dark is Rising again (last year being my first time to read it). I started the ebook but with everything going on, switched over to the BBC radio production of it. It was fun to listen to and while the episodes made it a little more difficult to follow the real time read along, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Listening to it definitely made it easier on me at this time of year too.
